If you follow my social media and read my blog you may be aware that rich is due deploy this coming week for 5 months. I've made my peace with it and I can either let it make me or break me. I have done deployments before but this will be the first with the two children. I don't doubt for a minute there will be difficult days, weeks maybe but I'm focusing on the good and trying to make the most of the time we have together.
So on Sunday we decided to go for dog walk as a family. were incredibly lucky to live in a beautiful part of Devon where, fields, wildlife and picturesque views are just a stones throw away from our house. Even though it was really cold, we wrapped up, took a flask of tea and some chocolate biscuits and made the most of the beautiful sunshine. E and C loved running round after max and climbing up and down the bank. Max was in his absolute element jumping in the river and running around with every dog we came across.
It was the perfect way to spend our last Sunday together as a family for a while, and we have agreed to make a long dog walk on a Sunday our new thing when rich comes home. How do you spend your Sundays as a family? let me know in the comments below.
Thank you for reading.
